Conscious Business Collaborative: Building a Regenerative Business Ecosystem

Southern University’s School of Business partnered with Red Rock Branding to create the Conscious Business Collaborative (CBC), a platform uniting leaders, students, and organizations to foster a regenerative business ecosystem that drives lasting social and environmental impact.

From Chapter to Movement: A Strategic Rebrand

Originally known as Conscious Capitalism – Connecticut Chapter, CBC underwent a complete rebrand to reflect its broader, more inclusive vision better. The transformation to the Conscious Business Collaborative was supported by a new visual identity, messaging, and website, aligning with CBC’s expanded goals of building a regenerative business ecosystem.

This rebrand set the stage for CBC to evolve from a regional chapter to a national leader in conscious business practices. It also positioned CBC as a vital hub for business leaders looking to integrate sustainability and ethical frameworks into their operations.

Conscious Leaders Network: Building a Learning Community

The Conscious Leaders Network (CLN), launched as a key initiative by CBC, is a learning journey designed for business leaders committed to implementing the principles of conscious capitalism in their organizations. Since its inception, CLN has become a vital space for:

1. Peer-led learning and collaborative projects

2. Deep dives into thought leadership and sustainability

This MOU establishes a comprehensive and collaborative partnership aimed at embedding conscious business practices within SCSU’s educational offerings and expanding CBC’s impact in the broader community.

Transforming Business Education: CBC x SCSU

In 2024, CBC teamed up with Southern Connecticut State University’s School of Business to launch a game-changing partnership aimed at reimagining the future of business education. Through a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), we’re bringing conscious leadership, real-world experience, and forward-thinking programming directly into the classroom.

Here’s what this powerful collaboration delivers

Shaping Future Leaders: CBC now serves on SCSU’s Executive Business Council and is connecting students to fresh perspectives from local business leaders.

Creating Career Opportunities: From internships to hands-on experiences, CBC is opening doors to a vibrant network of purpose-driven businesses.

Making Campus Come Alive: As an on-campus resource, CBC is hosting live events, workshops, and programs that enrich the student experience and energize the curriculum.

More ways we’re making an impact together

Spreading the Word: SCSU is promoting CBC events across its digital platforms to reach wider audiences.

Lifelong Learning: Those who complete CBC’s Conscious Leaders Network can earn professional development credentials.

Shared Spaces, Shared Ideas: Events in dynamic School of Business spaces bring various business communities together around new strategies and frameworks to hold capitalism accountable to all stakeholders

Legacy and Impact

In November 2024, CBC and its community also honored the life of Larry Bingaman, the founder of the Connecticut Chapter. Larry’s vision and dedication were foundational to the growth of the conscious business movement in the region. His legacy lives on in CBC’s continued commitment to ethical business practices and regenerative economic models.

Larry believed in the power of business to create positive change and worked tirelessly to promote this vision throughout his career.

Conclusion: Regenerative Momentum

What began as a regional chapter has now grown into a national leader in regenerative business. With strategic branding, transformative partnerships like the one with SCSU, and a community of passionate, engaged leaders, CBC is driving real-world change in the business world. Together, we are paving the way for a sustainable future where business serves the greater good.
